Creativity

Let your inspiration guide you and trust the creative process.

Recently, my hairdresser and dear friend, Paul King, asked how I wanted my hair cut. I laughed, a little surprised that he was actually asking my opinion, since he usually just follows his own creative vision. We had a short, honest conversation about how the last haircut worked for me, and then, as usual, he was on his own, doing exactly what he felt inspired to do.

I trust this creative process and genuinely love watching him move into his zone of genius. I don’t interfere or micromanage, and that freedom makes the whole experience feel more real, more collaborative, and truly special to be part of.

This works because I deeply believe in the power of creativity and trust.

The connection between two human beings in that kind of space is essential in my work and my life; it lifts my spirit and strengthens my ability to communicate and create with others.

I bring that same spirit to my work—showing up as myself, listening closely, and building collaborative, trusting relationships with my clients.

What inspires you?

For me, it’s the beach and walking along the boardwalk. The combination of textures and colours always sparks new design ideas.
